Help send TEAM SOS (Save Our Sisters) NJ breast cancer survivors to the International Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Race and Festival in Sarasota, FL. Enjoy a night of mystery and laughs at The Summit Playhouse on Saturday, November 2nd for Ken Ludwig’s murder mystery comedy, “The Game’s Afoot”. All proceeds benefit Pathways Team SOS.
This International Dragon Boat Race and Festival for breast cancer survivors occurs once every 4 years, with over 100 breast cancer survivor teams from around the world competing.
“It is an exhilarating and empowering event for survivors, who embrace life after cancer by competing alongside their ‘sisters’”, says Pathways Director, Michele Visco. “Engaging in this wonderful, supportive activity promotes a strong camaraderie and connection among paddlers”. Pathways hopes to raise $25,000 to send their entire team to this uplifting event.
Several fundraisers are currently underway, including this event that Pathways will be hosting at The Summit Playhouse. “The Games Afoot” is a murderously funny alternative to traditional holiday shows. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays. A wine and cheese reception will take place before the show and during intermission. Join Pathways in not only supporting community theater at The Summit Playhouse, but also in their efforts to send Team SOS-NJ to Sarasota in 2014.
The wine and cheese reception starts at 7:15pm and the show begins at 8:00pm. Tickets are $25 and can be reserved by emailing Michele Visco at firstname.lastname@example.org or by mailing a check made out to Pathways (79 Maple Street, Summit, NJ 07901) with a note “The Games Afoot” in the message line.
For those who are unable to attend the show, but would still like to support Team SOS-NJ in their efforts to race in Sarasota, please send donation directly to Pathways, making a note TEAM SOS in the memo line. Organizations who wish to sponsor Team SOS-NJ can contact Michele Visco at 908-273-4242, ext. 154 for more information.
