Paterson Shooting Victim Dies from Injuries; Four Arrested as Police Seek Fifth Suspect

PATERSON, NJ - Ragee Clark, a 16-year-old city resident who was shot on East 18 Street just over one week ago on 9 March, died on Monday at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center as a result of injuries sustained during the shooting incident.
 
As of Monday afternoon, the following arrests have been made in connection with this incident:
 
Kayden Thompson, 18, of Paterson; Khalif Hinds, 18, of Park Ridge, Jocquise Timmons, 18, of Paterson; and a 17-year-old Paterson resident.
 
A fifth individual, identified as Tahshmer Johnson, 20, of Governor Street in Paterson, has been charged in the incident, but is not yet in custody.
 
All of the involved persons had been previously charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. Charges will be upgraded to due to the victim’s death.
 
The investigation is continuing at this time, and anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of Tahshmer Johnson is asked to contact Detectives Ed Taylor or Dave Tanis of the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit, or D/Sergeant Antonio Urena of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
