Paterson Police Arrest Tyrone Mosley for Murder, Ending 19-Month Investigation

PATERSON, NJ - Police have charged Tyrone Mosley with felony murder in connection with the October 2012 shooting of Daniel Guzman of Paterson.
Mosley, 26, of Paterson is a convicted felon, has arrests in the city of Paterson dating back to 2003; and is currently serving a sentence for an unrelated incident in a New Jersey State Correctional Facility.
On Oct. 7, 2012, two males were walking on Jasper Street, between Union Avenue and Totowa Avenue when they were confronted by a male with a gun who demanded money. One of the victims ran as the other engaged in a dispute with the assailant. The assailant fired his weapon and killed Guzman.
Mosley has been charged with two counts of robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of an unlawful weapon and felony murder.
