PATERSON, NJ - As Halloween approaches, city businesses and merchants, through the Downtown Paterson Special Improvement District, Inc. (SID), are busy planning the 1st Annual “Haunted House on Maim Street.”
The SID will be offering up scares and frights at 186 Main Street, on Friday, Oct. 19th from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and Sundays, Oct. 21st and 28th from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Children are welcome to enjoy the Haunted House for FREE, while adults, over the age of 18, will be charged only $1. However, if an adult presents any Downtown Paterson store receipt, admission is also FREE.
Donations will be collected at the door from anyone wishing to donate to the City of Paterson’s Halloween fund, to benefit the distribution of candy at city of Paterson community Halloween events.
Event organizer, Sheri Ferreira, executive director of the Downtown Paterson SID, indicated that this event will be a fun attraction for all Patersonians and friends from neighboring communities.
“It is a great, affordable way for groups of friends, families, and regular and new visitors of Downtown Paterson to meet up for a quick and fun adventure in the heart of Paterson,'' said Ferreira said. "We expect this event to attract hundreds of people each day that the haunted house is open and the businesses and merchants are happy to provide this event for the community.”
More information about this 1st Annual Haunted House on Maim Street is available by calling the DPSID at 973-881-7300 or log onto the Downtown Paterson Retail/Shopping Facebook page.
