Part of Madison Avenue in Fanwood to be Closed for Water Pipe Replacement

FANWOOD, NJ – New Jersey American Water is continuing to replace 48-inch water pipes in an effort to ensure a major break does not happen again in this area.
To that end, Madison Avenue, between Martine Avenue and Russell Road, will be closed during the week of Feb. 25 to allow the replacement of a 16-foot section of a 48-inch water main.
“Work will be conducted between 8:30 am and 8:30 pm. One traffic lane will be open from 8:30 p.m. until 8:30 a.m. the following morning. This schedule should allow for a safe school drop-off routine”, said Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo.
