BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Parrotbeach, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, preformed the last of the summer concerts at Memorial Park.
Dr. Pat Smith, vice president of the Suburban Chamber of Commerce ,spoke to the anticipating crowd encouraging them to visit information tables such as Equinox Fitness Club and Spa and VFW. He also urged concert-goers to attend the VFW Pig Roast on Sept. 22 which will help financially support disabled veterans.
Right before the band took stage, Smith thanked the concert sponsors, Berkeley Aquatic Club, the Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights, Glenn Davis Insurance Agency of Berkeley Heights, and Equinox Fitness Club and Spa in Summit.
Parrotbeach, who was previously postponed due to inclimate weather last month, opened the show with "Fruitcakes."
“This song goes out to anyone thinking about changing their life,” the lead singer said, before launching into "Another Saturday Night."
The tribute band also played and had the audience dancing to fan favorite, "Margaritaville."
The evening also was the last opportunity to snap pictures at a Berkeley Heights Summer concert before today’s submission deadline for the Annual Berkeley Heights Free Summer Concert Series Photo Contest.
This year’s winner will receive prizes from Smith Chiropractic, Goodman's Restaurant & Deli, Taylor Rental, Derco, Edible Arrangements in Summit and Cartridge World, donated by the respected sponsors.
