Only Eastside Girls Advance in State Playoffs

PATERSON, NJ - The Eastside girls have advanced to the finals of the North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 state playoffs.
But Paterson's three other teams were eliminated on Friday.
The Lady Ghosts beat Fair Lawn, 52-40, on Friday and will meet Montclair in the section finals on Monday. Taylor Brown scored 13, while Nia Adams and Kayla Diaz added 12 each for Eastside.
Montclair made it to the finals by upsetting Kennedy, 68-67, on Friday despite 22 points each from Erika Brown and Morgan Taylor.
In the boys tournament, both Kennedy and Eastside were eliminated on Friday. The Knights were topped by Hackensack, 76-63, while the Ghosts lost to Bloomfield, 63-56.
