Oct. 22: Special Town Hall Meeting

PATERSON, NJ - City officials and residents will be hosting a special Town Hall Meeting next Mon., Oct. 22 at 6 pm at City Hall.
"We're having this meeting because we know Paterson is in trouble,'' said former city councilwoman Jessie Dixon, one of the organizers. "We know what the problems are, we're looking for solutions.''
Rising taxes, high crime, abandoned properties, political infighting and a failing school system are some of the issues that have made life in Paterson less tolerable.
Dixon emphasized that the meeting is not designed to benefit any particular community or political group.
"We're not trying to point fingers at anybody,'' she said. "We want everybody to come together on this.''
