The girls basketball program hosted a Coaches vs. Cancer event recently at which it raised more than $2,000 for the American Cancer Society.
On Friday, January 25, the varsity and JV teams hosted Elizabeth High School for the first ever Coaches vs. Cancer event at Oak Knoll. Through online donations, admission, and proceeds from concessions the night of the game, the program raised $2,523.
"I am proud to know that together we are making a difference in the fight against cancer," said Head Coach John Bertollo who also serves as the Lower School's assistant principal. "Every dollar we raised helps the American Cancer Society save lives threatened by cancer in every community, including funding research to find cures and supporting lifesaving services and programs."
