North Jersey Selective Choral Group Accepts Seven West Essex Middle School Students

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - West Essex Middle School eighth graders Ryan Aschoff and Caroline Lanfrank of Roseland, Elizabeth Schechter of North Caldwell, Kira Shibbab of Fairfield along with North Caldwell seventh graders Danielle Candela, Sarah Candido and Paige Johnston were all selected to participate with the North Jersey Junior High School Region I Choruses. They will perform in the Region I Concert on March 3, 3pm, at Parsippany Hills High School.
The Choruses are organized by the highly selective North Jersey School Music Association; vocalists audition against hundreds of other singers and, when accepted, commit to an intensive practice schedule.
The students have all been studying under Middle School Choral Director, Donna Mateyka. The following were selected for the North Jersey Junior High School Region I Treble Chorus:

- Sarah Candido
- Paige Johnston
- Caroline Lanfrank
- Elizabeth Schechter
- Kira Shibbab
One student, Ryan Aschoff, was selected to sing with the North Jersey Junior High School Region I Mixed Chorus.
