NJ Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Bestows Honors in Health

LIVINGSTON, NJ - Livingston residents, employees and a students were recently honored by the NJ Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Livingston High School senior Anthony Vecchio, a peer leader in the LHS Adventure Education program, has received the Student Healthy Lifestyle Award by the NJ Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
 
Cheryl Ricci-Francione, associate executive director of the West Essex YMCA, received the Physical Activity Champion Award by the professional association.
 
LHS health teacher Tamara Floruss presented two workshops at the group’s convention on driver education and health education classroom strategies.

Floruss was also recognized as the Outstanding Health Education Teacher of the Year on February 24 at the Annual Convention of the New Jersey Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
 
Mrs. Floruss was recognized specifically as the recipient of the Mary Jo Young Health Teacher of the Year Award, for her professionalism, contributions to the content area, teaching skills, service in the association and district.
