New Providence Street Fair Returns Sunday, Sept. 8

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The annual New Providence Business Street Fair will kick off the fall season downtown on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
The fair will be held on Springfield Avenue between South Street and Livingston Avenue. This family-oriented street festival will offer attractions for everyone. Prestige Diner and the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders are sponsoring a “Kid-Friendly Art Tent” where kids will have an opportunity to make something creative to take home.
There will also be kiddie rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, and much more. Live entertainment will be featured throughout the day. Many local merchants and businesses will showcase their shops and offer special sales. There will also be open-air cafes along the street fair route offering a wide selection of foods, including hot dogs, ice cream, chicken fingers, zeppoles, shish kebobs, freshly squeezed lemonade, Italian ices, French fries, hamburgers, sausage and pepper sandwiches, cheese steaks, pulled pork sandwiches, roasted corn and much more.
For shoppers, the street fair will feature many creative crafters with hand-crafted works and merchandise dealers offering bargains and unique items.
