On Thursday, February 21, the New Providence High School Athletic Booster Club (NPHS ABC) held its first ever Pioneer Potluck Pigout as a winter event to raise funds for the NPHS Athletic Program.

The 1st Pioneer Potluck Pigout was a great success thanks to all the local vendors, NPHS winter sports families, teams, and NPHS ABC members who cooked, bought, donated and served food. It was a delicious and fun night for all.

It was an important goal this year for the New Providence High School Athletic Booster Club to hold an event during the winter sports season that would offer everyone an opportunity to come together while showing support for ALL the Athletic Teams & athletes.  Athletic Director, Rob Harmer approached the NPHS ABC with the idea and they worked quickly to put this together in a short amount of time.

They say it takes a village!  Many thanks go to the following local area businesses that didn't bat an eye and generously donated delicious food: A&P, Coppola's Ristorante, Daham's Bagel & Deli, Delicious Heights, Galileo's, Hoboken Farms, Marcello's Restaurant, Old Glory Restaurant, Paolo's Kitchen, Ponte Vecchio, Prestige Diner, South Street Market, Tables for Two, Towne Deli and Village Pizza.

Special thanks to Pat Silvagni and Cathy DeBenedictis from Coldwell Banker Real Estate who called to graciously volunteer their time to help and to Dawn & Rich Sherman and their store Party Fair for donating all the paper products, tablecloths and helping to decorate the event. A huge thank you to the NPHS Cheerleaders who painted the Pioneer Potluck Pigout sign...fantastic!  The NPHS ABC thanks all the parents and students who came and helped make the event possible

The NPHS ABC will be planning another event in the Spring...stay tuned!
