New Providence Boy Dies After Accident in Connecticut

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - Grief counselors are being made available to students and staff at Salt Brook elementary school following the death of a second-grader on Saturday.
According to police, eight-year-old Alex Wu of New Providence died on Saturday evening when he fell from a sixth-floor window. Reports said he was with his family, visiting his grandparents at Rippowam Manor in Stamford Connecticut. He was playing tag with his siblings when he ran to the end of the hallway and, in an attempt to stop himself, pushed against the screen window, which gave way. The boy was unconscious when medical crews arrived on the scene.
He was transported to Stamford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
