New Personal Finance Classes offered at Union County College

This fall the Division of Continuing Education is offering several new classes to help you manage your personal finances now and to plan smartly for retirement. These classes will be taught by seasoned financial experts in easy to understand formats to help you make informed decisions about your money.
A brand new class, Rejuvenate Your Retirement, is a comprehensive course that focuses on the issues and financial concepts important to anyone who is retired or close to retirement age. You will learn about financial strategies designed to accomplish objectives such as tax-efficient income planning, lifestyle preservation, inflation protection, and providing a legacy. You will also learn about how to incorporate what you love, such as travel and hobbies, into your retirement plan to make the most of your retirement years. This class is a four-hour class that meets on Thursdays, October 18 and October 25 from 10 am – noon. Class price is $60.
Two other new classes, How to Create Wealth and How to Manage Wealth, are taught by instructors from the Financial Education Institute and are each 66-minute speed sessions to help you create and preserve your money. Students enrolled in these classes will be given a two-year subscription to access the Financial Education Institute’s website and ask up to 10 questions related to the course. How to Create Wealth will be offered on Thursday, October 11 from 6:30 – 7:36 pm and How to Manage Wealth will be offered on Thursday, November 1 from 6:30 – 7:36 pm. Each class cost is $65.
