Literacy Volunteers of Sussex County (LVSC) provides free tutoring in English to adults, both foreign-born and American-born.  The tutors are volunteers, specially trained for the mission.  If you think you might want to be one of those tutors, but are not sure what it involves, you can learn what tutoring is like from an orientation on Tuesday, September 11.  This orientation, by LVSC, will be offered at 6:30 PM at Homer's Restaurant, 18 Sparta Avenue, Sparta.

If  you decide to become a volunteer tutor, you will receive six sessions of training: Tuesdays at 6:30 PM at Homer's, September 18 through October 23.

You can learn more about LVSC from  the web site, literacyforyou.org.  You can sign up for the orientation either through the web site or by calling 973-300-9444.

You could make a big difference in someone's life.
