National Council of Jewish Women Paid-up Membership Gathering Nov. 11: 'Holidays, Desserts and You . . . Perfect Together'

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), West Morris Section's Paid-up Membership Meeting will offer a demonstration of exceptional culinary creativity, called "Holidays, Desserts and You . . . Perfect Together." The event, which is free to all paid-up NCJW, West Morris members, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m., at a private home in Morris Township.
Lisa Barta, an NCJW, West Morris member, a veteran single mom, elementary teacher, and avid cook/baker/candy maker, will show how to make lots of easy, delicious recipes, and offer fun presentation ideas for holidays throughout the year, from Chanukah and Passover to the Jewish New Year and more.
In a whimsical twist, Barta will fashion animals and flowers out of fruits and vegetables. Among her favorites is a lamb made from an eggplant and cauliflower pieces.
