Mother's Day 5K Run / Walk to Benefit LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

The Summit Area YMCA invites all members of the community to celebrate Mother’s Day at the 12th annual Mother’s Day 5K Race/Walk to be held on Sunday, May 12 at Connell Corporate Park, 1 Connell Drive, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.  Hosted by the Summit Area YMCA, proceeds from this year’s chip-timed, run will benefit the LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA Program, a 12-week, free, cancer recovery program for adult cancer survivors.

Runners are encouraged to run in honor of or in memory of a family member or friend whose life has been affected by cancer. Runners can register online at http://thesay.webconnex.com/5K as an individual or as a team.   The Mother’s Day 5K Race is a USTAF-sanctioned route through the Connell Corporate Park in Berkeley Heights. The 5K race start is at 9:00 am, and the 1 mile walk begins at 9:30 am. Race day check-in is from 7:30 am to 8:30 am, pre-race check-in is on Saturday, May 11, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Berkeley Heights YMCA, 550 Springfield Avenue.  T-shirts are guaranteed to all who register by April 30. Entry fees are $20 per person registering by April 30, and $30 per person thereafter.
