Morris County Announces Gun Buyback Amnesty Program

Acting Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp in partnership with New Jersey Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa, Madison Police Chief Darren Dachisen, Morris County Sheriff Edward Rochford, Morris County Park Police Chief David Wieland, Morris County CrimeStoppers Chairman John Sette, and the Morris Area Clergy Council announce a Gun Buyback Amnesty Program for residents of Morris County.  The program will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 and Saturday, March 16, 2013 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

            This initiative is an amnesty program designed to remove dangerous weapons from the streets with “No Questions Asked.”  This program will accept firearms from all persons including juveniles without requiring the disclosure of names or other personal information.

            The program will be held at the following locations:

            Friday, March 15, 2013 – 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
