Millburn-Short Hills Chamber's 'Come Together' Gala Supports 12 Area Not-For-Profit Organizations

As a result of the success of the recent Come Together Gala, held Saturday, February 4 at Hilton-Short Hills, the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce (Karol McNulty-Executive Director, Shayne Austin Miller-President) distributed more than $4,000 in donations to the twelve area not-for-profit organizations that were honored.

The proceeds were disseminated based on the number of guests representing each of the organizations as a percentage of ticket sales.
 
The honoree organizations include: American Red Cross – MSH Chapter; Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation; Cora Hartshorn Arboretum; Down The Block, Inc.; Greenwood Gardens; Jake’s Ride for Dystonia Research; Millburn Township Beautification League; New Eyes for the Needy; Opportunity Project, Inc.; Paper Mill Playhouse; The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey – Millburn Short Hills and United Way of Millburn-Short Hills.
 
“We were thrilled to celebrate the not-for-profit organizations that contribute so much to the quality of life in Millburn Township and to assist each of them with their missions,” stated Chamber President, Shayne Austin Miller. “This gala
provided an opportunity for the entire Township to come together and show its admiration and support for these amazing charities.”
 
National, state and local dignitaries served as award presenters. They included Congressman Leonard L. Lance, Former Governor Brendan Byrne, Millburn Township Mayor Sandy Haimoff and representatives from the Millburn Township Committee, including Committeemen Tom McDermott and W. T. Bourke and Township Administrator Tim Gordon.
 
Congressman Lance joined Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce BoardPresident Shayne Miller in congratulating Julie Nortillo, Board Chair of the Millburn-Short Hills Chapter of the American Red Cross (see attached photo), who were one of twelve honorees.
