McMATCH Online Food Drives Raise Almost 4,600 Pounds of Food So Far!

The Eighteen Morris County communities who have set up online food drives at YouGiveGoods.com as part of the M.c.M.A.T.C.H. Food Drive Initiative have been making real progress. To date, these drives combined have already raised almost 4,600 pounds of food and over $10,600 worth of goods. Several towns are still getting started with their drives, so the amount of food raised is sure to grow before this friendly food drive competition ends this FRIDAY.
Mendham Borough, Mendham Township, Boonton Township, Mount Arlington and Mine Hill are competing in Division 1, Chatham Township, Chatham Borough, Wharton Borough, Hanover Township, Florham Park and Lincoln Park are competing in Division 2 and Denville, Jefferson Township, Rockaway Township, Morristown, Morris Township, Mount Olive and Washington Township are competing in Division 3.
The current leaders are Mendham Borough (Division 1) with $3,209 worth of goods raised, Chatham Borough (Division 2) with $3,752 worth of goods raised and Morristown (Division 3) with $730 worth of goods raised with Denville close behind ($598).
The organizations being supported by these drives include the Denville Food Pantry, Interfaith Food Pantry, Star of the Sea Church Food Pantry, New Hope Food Pantry at Milton United Methodist Church, Long Valley Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, the Rockaway Food Closet, St. Mary's Food Pantry, Wharton United Community Church Food Pantry, the Pequannock Township Food Pantries, and the Mine Hill Food Pantry.
