BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Mary Kay McMillin Early Childhood Center PTO is hosting a special event, “Oktoberfest,” on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Stage House Tavern in Scotch Plains to raise funds and provide educational programs for the nearly 400 students at Mary Kay McMillin.
The evening event will feature a Stage House signature buffet, seasonal beers and wine as well as basket raffles, dancing, and revelry.
“The goal of this event is to raise $5,000; 100 percent of the proceeds raised will be put back into educational programs at Mary Kay McMillin,” stated MKM PTO President Kelly Sheehan. “If there are any local businesses, families or individuals who would like to donate goods or services for this event, we are looking for your support.”
In addition to being able to buy basket raffle tickets at the event on Oct. 6, there will be basket preview days on Tuesday, Oct. 2 through Friday, Oct. 5. Items included in the baskets are tickets to Disney World, a Jets game and various other events/places of interest, gift certificates to Delicious Heights, Sublime Day Spa, and other local hotspots as well as an iPad. There will also be a special raffle for a two-night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge.
