Fanwood, NJ February 20, 2013 - Denville, NJ - Mara’s Café & Bakery, a casual, family-friendly café, awarded its first franchise to Marci and Mark Semel of Fanwood, NJ to begin expansion beyond Morris County. The franchise is expected to open in April 2013 across the street from the Fanwood train station at 250 South Avenue.

Mara’s Café & Bakery has been recognized regionally and in New Jersey as the Best Coffeehouse, and has won numerous awards for its cheesecake, gelato, cupcakes, cannoli, sandwiches and more. The franchise will serve savory desserts along with fresh roasted coffee and full breakfast, lunch and dinner meals in a relaxing atmosphere. Indoor and patio seating are planned.
