Maplewood's Week Includes Township Committee and Library Book Sale

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – This week features a meeting of the Township Committee, a book sale at the Library and a celebration of “Cats” at Columbia High School.

 

Tuesday, February 18:

7:30 p.m. - Township Committee Meeting at the Municipal  Building, 574 Valley Street.

 

Thursday, February 20:

Noon - Overlook Van Hearing Screening at the Hilton Branch Public Library.  Have your hearing tested for potential problems. The test is free.  Educational materials and individual counseling are also provided.

4 p.m. – Joint Meeting at the Municipal  Building, 574 Valley Street.

 

Saturday, February 22:

10 a.m. – noon – Become a “Cat for a Day” at Columbia High School. Children grades 1 – 5 are invited to a performance workshop to celebrate CHS’s upcoming production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats.” Cost is $30 per child. Call 973-762-5600, ext. 1016 to reserve a spot.

 

Sunday, February 23:

11 a.m. – 5 p.m. - Main Library - Friends are holding a one-day bag-of-books sale in Memorial Hall (entry via the parking lot only).  The price will be $8 to fill a bag supplied by the Friends with books, etc.:  mass market paperbacks–3 for $1; hardbacks, trade and large paperbacks 6 for $5.  Come in for bargains and great reading.
