PATERSON, NJ - More than a month after city police filed attempted murder charges against Rajon Reed, the 18-year-old Redwood Avenue resident remains at large.

Reed is accused of firing several shots that wounded a 24-year Garfield man when a argument started outside a house party at 21 Ellison Street on July 8.

The man who police say was Reed's accomplice, Marsone Platt, 22, of Ryerson Avenue, surroounded himself to authorities about a week after they were identified as suspects in the case, according to Sgt. Patrick Murray, head of the Paterson Police Cease-Fire unit. Platt has been charged with attempted murder.

Reed is considered armed and dangerous. Murray said members of the warrant squad as well as Cease-Fire detectives are looking for him.  Authorities have no reason to believe he has left Paterson, Murray said.

Police are advising anyone who sees Reed to call 911, or contact Detectives Ador Flores or David Tanis of the Paterson Police Cease-Fire Unit at 973-321-1342. Anyone wishing to provide information anonymously can call the TIPS hotline at 973-523-TIPS.
