MILLBURN, NJ – A man was fatally struck by a train earlier this evening at the Millburn Train Station.

The man’s identity has not been released and few details are available. Penny Bassett Hackett, New Jersey Transit spokesperson, confirmed the fatality.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. with a train that had no passengers on board and was not scheduled to stop at the station, Bassett Hackett said.

Trains on the Morris and Essex lines and the Gladstone branch are operating on a 30 to 60 minute delay while the investigation is underway.
