Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges

PATERSON, NJ - City police on Tuesday arrested a 19-year-old Redwood Avenue resident on attempted murder charges. Rajon Reed had been wanted for about two months.
Police say he shot a Garfield man outside an Ellison Street house party on July 8. Detectives from the Paterson Police Warrant Squad and members of the FBI Safe Streets Gang Task Force arrested Reed in the early morning on Tuesday at a residence near the intersection of N. 8th and Clinton streets after authorities received information that Reed was staying at the home. residence.
Police said Reed is being held in the Paterson Police cell block and is awaiting bail. In addition to attempted murder, he is being charged with weapons offenses.
