On Jan. 17 at 9:35 p.m, Patrolman Michael Bloom was dispatched to a Green Village Road residence for a possible drug overdose. After conducting an investigation at the residence, Julianne Fischetta of Madison was arrested for possession of prescription drugs in an unmarked bottle without a prescription. She was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled for a first appearance in municipal court on Feb. 14, 2012.
The 22-year-old overdose victim was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital for treatment.
On Jan. 16 at 8:08 p.m., Patrolman Michael Sawyer stopped a vehicle on Pine Street for an equipment violation. A subsequent check determined that the driver, Kenneth Finnen, had a suspended license and warrants for his arrest. Finnen was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters and later released after posting bail in the amount of $1,000. The warrants, one each from Chatham and Madison, were issued after Finnen failed to appear in court to answer prior charges for driving with a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in municipal court on Jan. 24, 2012.
