Madison Resident Reports Car Stolen from Driveway

On 1/22/2012 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Patrolman Chad Rybka arrested 50 year old Michelle Rasp of Nutley N.J. He charged her with driving under the influence. Ptl. Rybka initially stopped Rasp for crossing a double yellow line on Main Street near Greenvillage Road. He determined that she was operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released to a family member pending a mandatory court appearance. Rasp was also issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to maintain a lane.

On 1/20/2012 The Madison Police Department received a report of a Stolen Car from the Buckingham Drive area. 2012 Audi, 4 door, color gray. The vehicle was stolen from the owner’s driveway. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft. Detective Kosakowski is investigated the incident.

Residents  are asked to keep their vehicles locked when parked in their driveway overnight. Residents are ask to call police if they hear or see any suspicious person or vehicle in their neighborhood. 973-593-3000 or 911.Police welcome the call anytime of the day or night, 24 hours a day, 7days a week, 365 days a year.

The Madison Police Department, Fire Department, and Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to approximately 9 medical emergencies.

Madison Police Department investigated 11 motor vehicle crashes during the week.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
