Madison Police Seeking Two in Attempted Armed Robbery

MADISON, NJ - Police are seeking two suspects in an attempted armed robbery on Feb. 21.

According to reports, at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 21, a dark-skinned Hispanic female in her 40s, about 5 feet, five inches tall and wearing a black coat, black hat and pink gloves entered a money transfer establishment located in the rear of Cook Plaza Lot. Police say she engaged in conversation with the victim, then left the store.

A few seconds later, a Hispanic male in his 30s, unknown height, entered the store and displayed a silver handgun in his left hand. He was wearing dark pants, dark shoes, a dark hooded sweatshirt under a tan jacket and dark gloves.

Police say the suspect fled after being confronted by the victim, traveling west towards the Cook Avenue alley way.
