Madison Police Charge Summit Man for DUI

On 9/16/2012 at approximately 12:16 a.m. Patrolman Matthew Mirabella arrested 29 year old Ryan Gieger of Summit N.J. He charged him with driving under the influence. Ptl. Mirabella initially stopped Geiger for a speeding violation on Main Street, he determined that he was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released to a friend pending a mandatory court appearance. Gieger was also issued a summons for refusal to submit to a breath test.
The Madison Police Department, Fire Department, and Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to approximately 28 medical emergencies.
Madison Police Department investigated 8 motor vehicle crashes during the week.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
