Madison Police Arrest Jamesburg Man on Outstanding Warrants

On 1/24/2012 at approximately 12:45 p.m. Patrolman Luis Goncalves arrested 29 year old John Monka of Jamesburg N.J. on the strength of a $650.00 arrest warrant issued by Madison Municipal Court for failure to appear for traffic offenses. Ptl. Goncalves was contacted by the Essex County Correctional Facility who had Monka in custody. He was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing he was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail pending a mandatory court appearance.
On 1/24/2012 at approximately 4:08 a.m. Patrolman Paul Papamarkos arrested 70 year old James O’Donnell of Madison N.J. on the strength of a $500.00 dollar arrest warrant issued by Morristown Municipal Court for failure to appear on criminal charges for trespassing. Ptl. Papamarkos responded to a noise complaint on Alexander Avenue involving O”Donnell, a computer check on his name alerted Ptl.. Papamarkos that he was wanted. He was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released to the authorities of Morristown pending a mandatory court appearance.
The Madison Police Department, Fire Department, and Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to approximately 17 medical emergencies.
Madison Police Department investigated 7 motor vehicle crashes during the week.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
