MADISON, NJ - A December showing of the movie "Polar Express" at Madison Junior School raised funds for families in Union Beach who are still trying to rebuild their lives after Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.

A total of $1,050 was raised and will be used to help support the Union Beach Campership program so that children of Union Beach can attend sleep-away camps next summer. Last year, a number of MJS students and staff joined the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in Union Beach and this fundraiser was part of a continuing effort to assist the families of that town.

Conley accepted the check for $1,050 from MJS teachers and students on behalf of the Madison YMCA on Jan. 8.
