MADISON, NJ - New Jersey education officials have released School Performance Reports on every public school in the state.

Madison High School achieved grades that ranged from "high" to "very high" in several categories for the 2012-2013 school year, but which "lagged" in another area.

According to the evaluation, Madison High School's academic performance is "very high" when compared to schools across the state, and "high" compared to its peers. The school's college and career readiness is "very high" when compared to both schools across the state and peer schools.

Madison High School's graduation and post-secondary performance rates "high" when compared with other schools across the state, however its graduation and post-secondary readiness "lags" in relation to its peer schools--schools that have "similar grade levels and students with similar demographic characteristics."

Madison High School outperforms 84 percent of schools statewide in the area of academic achievement.

The reports provide a more complete picture of school performance beyond simple test scores by identifying a range of college and career ready metrics, beginning at the earliest grades. The reports are designed to further the department's goal of helping educators and stakeholders turn information into action to improve student outcomes across a range of performance indicators.
