Madison BPO Elks Lodge #1465 Donates $2,000 to The Friends of Geraldine fundraising efforts

In the spirit of welcoming "Geraldine", the 1921 Ahrens-Fox Model P-4 fire engine, back to Madison, the Madison BPO Elks Lodge #1465 have donated two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars to The Friends of Geraldine fundraising efforts. The Madison Elks have a long history with “Geraldine”, as the Fire Chief in 1921 when the Ahrens-Fox was presented to the town by Mrs. Dodge was Samuel A. Gruver who two years later became a Charter Member when the Lodge was instituted in May 1923, and was on the Lodge's first Board of Trustees. The Madison Elks Lodge is located at 192 Main Street, Madison, NJ, and will be celebrating its 90th anniversary in May 2013.
