The Madison Area YMCA’s Family Center is hosting its Winter Open House Week now through Saturday, February 9.  The Y welcomes the entire community to explore all the amenities the facility has to offer.

Winter Open House Week features raffles, giveaways and free trial memberships for the week.  The free membership includes opportunities to drop in and participate in a wide array of fitness classes as well as registration-only classes for all ages. 

Additionally, anyone who joins the Y during the Open House Week with a new Adult, Young Adult, Family, Senior Adult or Senior Family membership will receive one month of free membership and the initiation fee waived. All membership categories qualify for the promotion. *Members will pay a prorated rate for February. March is the free month.

Participants may enjoy unlimited use of the recently updated Fitness Center, open lap and family swimming times, open gym and Kids Central, the Y’s indoor playground for children.

The Kids Central preschool/school-age playground structure was replaced with a state-of-the-art jungle gym that includes a cargo bridge, trolley glide, gym ring challenge and monkey bars. In the toddler area, several new stand-alone elements were added such as a huge hippopotamus beanbag, animal-shaped rockers, stationary sit-on cars and animals as well as wall-mounted games.

Special events, activities, orientations and demonstrations from different fitness and program areas will be held throughout the week. Don’t miss this free week of fitness, fun and a chance to discover the Madison Area Y with friends and family.
