The London Day School, known throughout the area for its scaffolding approach to learning and enrichment program, will be opening up enrollment for its 2013-14 Full Day Kindergarten Program this week.

The program which will only be accepting 10 students, will offer a Full-Day Schedule from 9am to 2:30pm  along with Before and After-Care for working parents which will run from 7am to 6pm.  Tuition also follows the pre-school’s  monthly program which gives parents the opportunity to provide a superior Full-Day Kindergarten experience to their children at the cost of an additional year of pre-school.

“Everything in life that is built to withstand the test of time must encompass a strong framework and footing, and a child’s education is no different,” said Danielle Lindner, director of The London Day School.

The school’s program was developed to provide the best and the brightest students with the opportunity to continue and foster a love of learning in an intimate and student-focused, enrichment-filled environment.

The LDS program is a great option for students who miss the public school Kindergarten cut-off of October 1st.  Many students miss the deadline to enroll in the public school Kindergarten and are more than ready to start a formal school program.  Student who turn age 5 by December 31st can enroll in the London Day School Program and begin the process of becoming strong in the areas of reading, writing, and math right away.

“As educators, we know the importance of a full-day academic, enrichment-based program that provides the solid academic foundation young students need to become strong, proficient, life-long learners who excel as they advance through their educational career,” Lindner said.

The London Day School’s award-winning curriculum in combination with the school’s Enrichment and Student Engagement philosophy provides students with an unprecedented learning experience. The school’s curriculum is designed to meet and exceed all common core state standards. With class size limited to 10, each student receives individualized attention and an academic foundation that prepares them for advancement and success.

“Students receive the tools they need to be life-long learners,” Lindner said.

Along with the school’s award-winning reading, writing, math, handwriting science and social studies curriculum, kindergarten students have weekly instruction in Spanish, Creative Arts, Drama/Presentation Skills, Technology, Leadership/Character Education, Physical Education, and Music.

“Our program is customized to each student’s academic strengths rather than a one-size-fits-all approach that many other programs embrace,” Lindner said. “Our specialized focus engages and excites students about school.”

The London Day School is now accepting applications for the kindergarten program via email or phone request.  For more information, call 973-377-0311 or visit www.londondayschool.com
