FANWOOD, NJ - Local Fanwood photographer Amy Kilgannon has just released her first children's book, Missy Moo and Bailey Too, which was recently featured on the iTunes store under the New and Noteworthy heading. Print versions of the book are currently in production, and will be available soon through most major retailers.

When asked what drove her to pursue this project, Kilgannon was eager to express that her endeavours in children's literature come directly from her own kids, a 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter, who have always been enthusiastic about reading and adventuring.

Kilgannon also mentioned that she drew inspiration from other children's literature, particularly he books The Very Cranky Bear by Nick Bland and Chugga Chugga Choo Choo by Kevin Lewis, which both use a similar rhyming verse structure to Kilgannon's.

She currently has two more projects written and waiting on illustrators, and has plans to continue the Missy Moo and Bailey characters in a growing series of books. One particular story Kilgannon wanted to tell would be an adventure in New York City.

Kilgannon self published Missy Moo and Bailey Too, and recommends the process as one of few ways to break through into a tough industry.

Missy Moo and Bailey Too can be purchased and downloaded from the iTunes store. It's written by Amy Kilgannon and penned by Mark MacKay.
