LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Livingston Municipal Court settled two cases for the week of May 5 through May 11.
Kisha Ingraham of Newark was charged with shoplifting at Sears for attempting steal a bracelet valued at $99.99.
Ingraham plead guilty to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. For the offense, she was sentenced to a 30-day suspended jail term and to pay a $500 fine, $33 in court cost fees, $50 to the Victim of Crime Compensation Fund, $75 to the Safe Neighborhood Fund.
Khairah Jones of Newark was charged with possession of shoplifting tools, possession of stolen property, specifically a jacket from Wet Seal, and robbery, for attempting to steal a pair of boots from Macy’s valued at $190, then pushing a security guard when confronted.
The first two charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. The charge of robbery was downgraded to an additional charge of possession of stolen property. For the offence, Jones was sentenced to pay a $500 fine, $33 in court cost fees, $50 to the Victim of Crime Compensation Fund, $75 to the Safe Neighborhood Fund.
