LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Livingston Municipal Court settled three cases for the week of May 12 through May 18.

Salmon Davis of Irvington was charged with shoplifting from Sears of the Livingston Mall for attempting to steal clothing valued at $236.

William Estelle was charged with shoplifting from Macy’s of the Livingston Mall for attempting to steal clothing valued at $237.

Estelle pleaded guilty to the charge as written and was sentenced to a jail term of 24 days and to pay a $250 fine, $33 court cost, $50 to the Victims of Crime Compensation Fund, and $75 to the Safe Neighborhood Fund.

Amanda Brijpaul of Orange was charged with shoplifting from Sears of the Livingston Mall for attempting to steal jewelry valued at $370.

In addition, Brijpaul must pay $33 court cost, $50 to the Victims of Crime Compensation Fund, $75 to the Safe Neighborhood Fund, and in lieu of a fine, she must pay a $100 assessment fee.
