Livingston Old Guard to host town Council Candidates on Tuesday morning , October 16 at LSCC. The question and answer forum will begin at 10:15 and this is a free and public meeting. Some of the questions to be answered by the candidates are:
What do you feel is the major role of a council member and what makes you feel you can fulfill this role?
What do you see as the most pressing issues facing Livingston and how would you address them?
How do you perceive current municipal spending and what measures would you take to reduce it?
What would you do to attract new businesses to Livingston ?
Citizens have constantly asked for information regarding costs of the Library, Town Hall, Town Center, etc. How would you address such inquires?
Our Township Manager’s salary range is $142,500 to $201,414. Is it necessary to pay in excess of $200,000 for a public employee position?
Livingston has “council-manager” form of government & therefore, could have non partisan elections. Would you support such a change?
