Livingston High Keeps 20-Year Tradition During ‘Hello, Dolly’ Warm Ups

LIVINGSTON, NJ – On March 13, over 60 senior citizens arrived for the Livingston High School’s annual Dinner and a Show dress rehearsal.
“We get 60 plus every year. We see familiar faces every year. It’s a nice way for the show cast to get in a dry run,” said LHS teacher Dave Cohen.
Food is prepared by the students of the Career Internship Program. On the menu were lasagna, salad and fresh baked cookies. Guests that night expressed excitement for the event and anticipated seeing the kids.
“We enjoy seeing the students perform,” said Paula Moskowitz, who has been coming every year since she can remember.
“We are supporters of everything Livingston,” said longtime resident Christine Anello. Her friend Barbara Malaspina added that “we even like to come to senior prom!”
As visitors finished up with coffee and dessert, the main cast of "Hello, Dolly" arrived to introduce their characters and give a little teaser.
Director Janene DePalo presented the cast and told the crowd that they had practiced more than 200 hours and that they were more than ready to give them a good show.
"Hello, Dolly" will run from March 14 to March 16. For more information contact The Livingston High School.
