LIVINGSTON, NJ - There were 120 golfers gathered at Cedar Hill Country Club on Monday for the Township of Livingston Annual Golf & Dinner Outing.

The foursomes received their starting hole assignments at 10:30 a.m. and then proceeded to a buffet lunch until noon. From there, teams readied at their holes and awaited the 12:30 p.m. shotgun, signalizing the official start of the tournament.

After five and a half hours of competitive play, the teams wandered back to the clubhouse, where cocktail hour was just beginning. Waiters passed hor’deurves and bartenders mixed and poured drinks. Participants conversed and swapped stories from the day.

“Everyone had a wonderful time,” said Chairman of the Board for the Event Patrick Ippolito. “The weather really held out and we’re continuing to have fun at the dinner.”

And with that, guests were signaled into the main dining room an exquisite buffet of carving stations, hot dishes, and a plethora of desserts awaited the hungry golfers.

“Cedar Hill [Country Club] does a great job every year,” said annual participant and Livingston figurehead Mike Duffy, and they certainly did not disappoint this year.”

After a speech from event Ippolito and the conclusion of raffle drawings, the guests made their way to the buffet.

Proceeds from the event will go toward Livingston’s recreational programs.

“A truly great time was had by all,” said Rob Pariser, event board member. “And we look forward to the return of the event next spring.”
