WEST ORANGE, NJ - Over the next few days, the West Orange Alternative Press will highlight Anti Bullying activities in many of our public schools. October is Anti Bullying month in West Orange. First up is Liberty Middle School. During Advisory Character Education periods, students students pledged to "post positive" messages on electronic media, and completed an activity on cyber-bullying. All students attended an assembly reviewing last year's newly HIB (Harrassment, Indimidation, and Bullying) Law. The LMS Anti-Bullying Ambassador group facilitated the pledge signing. The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors group was created last year to be the eyes and ears of the LMS hallways, buses, and cafeteria, and to encourage positive student interaction throughout the school community.
