LHS Action! Club Presents 2nd Annual Extravaganza

On Sunday, April 27, Livingston High School hosted an “extravaganza” for all ages and all abilities. The goal of the event was to promote the idea of inclusiveness.

The event was held both inside the gym and outside on the turf. The wide range of activities included everything from various carnival games to sports like basketball, soccer, and archery.

A competition was also held in the Wellness and Fitness Center for posters on inclusiveness and acceptance for children with all types of disabilities.

The event was organized and run by the Action! Club, which is a club at LHS that’s goal is to “make Livingston more inclusive and to encourage students to become leaders of social change.”

The club is run by teachers Patty Kaes and Paul Raiz. As members,  the students are able to volunteer with individuals of all abilities.

In addition to the Extravaganza, and other events the Action! Club puts on, the students also volunteer at many of the community events for children and adults with special needs.
