Let's Dance: United Way of Greater Union County Hosts Annual Gala

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The United Way of Greater Union County Community Council of Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights held the second annual Night of Dance on Saturday night at the Berkeley Heights Plaza.
The event featured dancing and dining and some of the state's finest ballroom dancers performing a variety of classic ballroom style moves. Proceeds for the Night of Dance benefit the United Way’s Special Response Fund which serves emergency family needs in the Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights community. The United Way is a non-profit organization that works with many businesses and civic entities to raise funds to aid communities according to their needs.
Boy Scouts of America, Arc of Union County, SAGE Eldercare, The Salvation Army, YWCA of Eastern Union County and Atlantic Health/Overlook Hospital Family Service were among the organizations that provide support to The United Way of Greater Union County and help make the Night of Dance event possible.
The main focus of the United Way is health, income and education.The organization got it's start in the late 1800s involving church leaders in the state of Colorado. For more information about The United Way of Greater Union County visit their website.
