SUMMIT, NJ – Did you know that if you are an honorably discharged veteran over 65, you may be eligible for benefits of more than $2,000 per month? And surviving spouses of veterans may qualify for up to $1,113 per month.

Join Laurie A Hauptman, Esq., on Tuesday, April 2 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm to learn more.  SAGE Eldercare will be hosting the program, which is free and open to the public, at 290 Broad Street in Summit.

“At Hauptman & Hauptman, we frequently work with government benefits such as Medicaid and Veterans’ Aid, as well as attendance benefits, which can provide an additional source of funds and help stretch income for families,” stated Laurie A. Hauptman, Esq.  “My goal is to provide guidance and educate families and caregivers at this program, specifically on Veteran’s benefits that they might be unaware of, so that they can provide the best care for their loved one.”

To register or learn more about the program, call 908.598.5548 or email education@sageeldercare.org

Hauptman is a graduate of SUNY Binghamton (B.A., 1986) and Hofstra Law School (J.D., 1989).  For eight years, she was a trial attorney at a personal injury law firm before joining forces with her husband, Yale, in 1998.  Hauptman & Hauptman focusses on elder care law and guiding families in life’s transitions.  More information is available at www.hauptmanlaw.com.
