Learn How to Manage Your Stress
Wednesday, January 15, 2014 • 12:45pm
The Connection is hosting a FREE workshop, “Healing Stress the Natural Way”, on Saturday, January 18th from 3:00-4:30pm.
Life is full of demands, expectations, deadlines and frustrations. For many people, stress is so ordinary that it has become a way of life. In small doses, stress can be positive. Stress can help individuals to perform under pressure and motivate them to do their best. However, when a person is continuously running in emergency mode, their mind and body pay the price. Learning the signs of stress and coping techniques can help to reduce its harmful effects.
“Stress can be linked to many illnesses including heart disease, depression and anxiety, weight problems, and autoimmune disorders” says “Healing Stress the Natural Way” Instructor, Louise Bernardon.
In this 90 minute workshop, participants will see how the body and mind are affected by stress using anatomy and physiology in easy to understand terminology. Learn techniques including breathing exercises, visualization and movement that can be used to manage daily stress naturally.
This workshop is FREE and open to the public, registration is required. To register, call 908-273-4242 or stop by 79 Maple Street in Summit.
