Launch of Warren Township Chamber of Commerce Draws Standing-Room Only Crowd

WARREN, NJ - A standing-room only crowd of 80 attended the innagural meeting of the Warren Township Chamber of Commerce. The kickoff meeting on Thursday at Mt. Bethel Village officially established the group which is under the Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce umbrella.

"The Gateway Chamber is thrilled to be a part of such an endeavor,” said Jim Coyle of the Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce. Kate Conroy, vice-president of the Gateway Chamber, said, “We feel overwhelmed by the support members of the Warren business community have shown for this new group . The Warren Township Chamber of Commerce is off to a great start, and we can’t wait to see where the journey takes us."
 
Other attendees and speakers included Mayor Victor Sordillo, Deputy Mayor Gary DiNardo, Township Committeeperson and the Executive Director of Mount Bethel Village, Carolann Garafola, Police Lieutenant Bill Keane, the Superintendants of the Warren Township School District and the Watchung Hills District, Tami Crader and Elizabeth Jewett, and Carolyn DellSala, director of the Warren Township library. 
 
In Sordillo's remarks he quoted Henry Ford and said," Coming together is a beginning, Keeping together is progress, staying together is teamwork."   DiNardo said he is "thrilled to have such a great turnout."
"All businesses are encouraged to attend the meetings and we look forward to working together to make Warren an even better place to live and work, " said Evan Tornquist of Fulton Bank of New Jersey, and the chair of the Warren Chamber. He commented, “I am so pleased to chair this new group. Warren hasn’t had a business organization since the Warren Business & Professional Association and it’s time for a fresh start."
 
Carolann Garafola said, " Thank you for making this an absolute successful event."The Warren Township Chamber of Commerce will meet monthly for breakfast, networking and presentations from experts in various industries. The next meeting will be at 8 a.m. on Oct. 24 in the Warren Township courtroom, hosted by the Warren Township library.
