Lansdale Lifetime Achievement Award Nominees Wanted by July 15

A lucky Lansdalian man or woman will join the ranks of Lansdale Borough Fire Marshal Jay Daveler and borough Parks and Recreation Director Carl Saldutti later this summer.
Nonprofit Discover Lansdale is seeking nominations from the public for its third Lifetime Achievement Award, to be bestowed on the winning nominee at Founders Day in August.
According to Discover Lansdale's website, the award looks to recognize community leaders for their tireless contributions over a period of time for the betterment of Lansdale. The nonprofit places these winners, like Daveler in 2012 and Saldutti in 2013, on a level not unlike the founding fathers of Lansdale, who were dedicated citizens stepping forward "to help turn a sleepy rural village into a bustling railroad junction town."
The nomination deadline is July 15. The winner will be chosen by a subcommittee of the Founders Day Committee of Discover Lansdale, chaired by nonprofit President Mary Fuller.
Here are the nomination requirements:
- Nominees DO NOT have to be a resident of Lansdale.
- Nominees will be judged on their long-term achievements that have had a direct, positive impact on Lansdale Borough.
- Nominees should have a body of work that encompasses at least 25 years of dedication to the community via the public or private sector, of which Lansdale benefited greatly.
- A posthumous award for an individual that died in in the prior year to Aug. 23, 2014 would be considered by the subcommittee.
Submit nominations via this link to the nomination form. Every nomination must have a detailed description of the nominee's qualifications. All submissions must have the name, address and phone number of the one making the nomination.
Nominations can also be delivered to Minuteman Press, 427 W. Main St., Lansdale, or mailed to P.O. Box 1112, Lansdale, PA 19446.
